Getting home everyday after a long day at work it's one of the most challenging things when it comes to prepare dinner! Let's be honest I do not want to spend more than 15 mins in the kitchen but I have to, for that reason I am always looking for healthy recipes that can be done easy and fast so I can enjoy more time with my husband and watch my Netflix TV shows lol!
I am a bog fan of #mexicanfood and I find myself usually craving tacos that's why I wanted to try this easy keto taco salad for a quick weeknight dinner. It’s packed with yummy low-carb ingredients like salsa, avocado, seasoned ground beef, and shredded cheese.

I like to make this taco salad with the following toppings:
- crisp shredded romaine lettuce
- seasoned lean minced beef or chicken ( I used #Halal meat from restaurant depot )
- shredded cheese
- green onions
- fresh tomatoes or fresh salsa
- creamy sliced avocado
- a spoon of sour cream
HOW TO MAKE TACO SALAD KETO-FRIENDLY
This recipe couldn’t be easier to make. I start by cooking some lean ground beef, and seasoning it with keto-friendly taco seasoning. But be careful! Most of the pre-mixed packets I’ve seen have some sugar or thickening cornstarch. To make homemade taco seasoning, mix together the following herbs and spices in a small jar, and shake to combine:
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large pan over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up with a wood spoon, until no longer pink and cooked through. Drain excess grease.Season the beef with the homemade taco seasoning. Let cool slightly.
Prepare the vegetables:
Wash and chop the lettuce.
Slice the avocados.
Assemble the salads:
Place the lettuce in a large bowl and top with the seasoned beef, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and avocado. Serve with a lime wedge (optional)
